Judge – Mr Mike House ( Kemgordoni )
Breed – Rhodesian Ridgeback

I would like to thank the RRCGB Committee for such a friendly and well run show. Special thanks for all of my dedicated stewards and the exhibitors for their superb entry and quality of dogs.
The majority of ridges were either excellent or good despite finding quite a few off set crowns. In my opinion overall confirmation is most paramount, therefore I didn’t dismiss an otherwise very good dog from a high placing due to this type of ridge fault. I will not mention ridges any further in my following individual critiques.

CLASS 1 – MINOR PUPPY DOG ( 3 )
1st – no. 73 – Miss K Plested – NZAWI KAISER CHIEF
A handsome youngster showing clean lines and good muscle tone throughout. Good equal length of skull and muzzle accompanied with perfect ear set and size, well developed dentition, a good dark eye and strong clean reach of neck with nice shape of nape leading into a good lay back of shoulder. Really liked his length of body ratio with good ribbing and strength in loin, very well boned and pleasing bend of stifle. Moved true and effortlessly. A close decision in the puppy dog challenge, but unfortunately he was slightly going down in shoulder during final movement. I am sure he will have a very bright future.

2nd – no. 94 – Miss B Miss S Worthington – VELDTKAMMER WINDS OF CHANGE AT TUNGATTOSH
Only 8 months of age and not quite as advanced as no1, but what a very pleasing puppy. Excels in bone, very good infill of fore chest and depth of brisket with a good shape and length of ribbing with well let down hocks. A little loose in movement as he needs to tighten into his frame. He’s only a youngster so this will come. Although erratic on the move, and clearly having a wonderful time in the ring, I just saw enough to access his movement showing a nice fluent stride. One I shall be watching with interest.

3 rd – no. 87 – Ms S Thompson – GLOBALRIDGE BLACK ONYX

Strong clean neck with good reach and in total balance with head and body length. Correct fore chest with superb depth of brisket. A strong top line, muscular loin and croup flowing into a perfect tail set. His angles all meet with perfect symmetry from front to rear. Sound and steady in movement with straight, forward action coming and going. BPIS
